1. Pirmas žingsnis į kūrybiškai išsiblaškiusį ir dailininkų pamėgtą miestą – nuo plytelės „Obuoliukai“, esančios S. Moniuškos skvere ir simbolizuojančios pasimatymų vietą. Čia galite prisiekti amžiną meilę savo išrinktajam art tiesiog Vilniaus miestui.
2. Eikite Klaipėdos gatve, pirmame posūkyje sukite į dešinę (Pylimo g.)ir kitame posūkyje – į kairę (Kalinausko g.). Priėjote unikalų visame pasaulyje paminklą moderniosios muzikos tėvui Frankui Zappai.
3. Paėję Kalinausko gatve į viršų, sukite į mažą Teatro gatvelę kairėje. Perėję per Basanavičiaus gatvę, prieisite paminklą XX amžiaus prancūzų rašytojui Romain Gary. Mažutė berniuko figūrėlė pasakoja autobiografinę rašytojo knygos „Aušros pažadas“ istoriją, kur rašoma apie vaikystę Vilniuje ir susižavėjimą mergaite, vardu Valentina. Kovodamas dėl jos dėmesio rašytojas pjaustė ir valgė kaliošą.
4. Nusileiskite Basanavičiaus gatve žemyn, pasukite nedidele Vingrių gatve į dešinę, pereikite gatvę ir eikite toliau Vingrių g. Eikite Pylimo g. tiesiai, kol pamatysite didžiulį gipsinį 300 kg sveriantį kiaušinį, užkeltą ant granito kolonos. Šis išmargintas paminklas visus metus neša pavasarį į sostinę ir simbolizuoja šio senamiesčio rajono atkūrimą ir atgimimą.
5. Pereikite gatvę ties šviesoforu ir eikite Rūdninkų gatve tiesiai. Priėję skverą, jo kairiajame šone pamatysite paminklą Vilniuje gyvenusiam daktaro Aiskaudos prototipui – daktarui C. Šabadui. Jis daug dėmesio skyrė vaikų sveikatos problemoms, todėl skulptūra vaizduoja jį besikalbantį su vaiku. Šis paminklas pripildo erdvę jaukumo ir gerumo.



6. Tęskite kelionę Rūdninkų gatve. Priėję Vokiečių g., eikite tiesiai Didžiąja gatve. Vietoje, kur Didžioji g. pereina į Pilies g., ieškokite Išganytojo gatvės dešinėje pusėje. Eikite tiesiai iki Vilnelės upės. Jums einant per tiltą, iš Vilnios krantinės nišos kukliai pasisveikins Užupio mergelė – Undinėlė. Sveiki atvykę į Užupio respubliką – savotišką Paryžiaus Monmartro aidą. Tai bohemiškiausias, romantiškiausias ir mistiškiausias Vilniaus rajonas, turintis savo prezidentą, himną, globėją – bronzinį Užupio angelą – ir konstituciją, kurią galima perskaityti Paupio gatvės pradžioje.
7. Laikykitės kairės pusės ir Malūnų gatve eikite tiesiai, kol prieisite kitą tiltą. Bernardinų tilto turėklai nukabinėti spynelėmis, kurios simbolizuoja dviejų mylinčių žmonių ištikimybę.
8. Perėję tiltą, sukite į dešinę ir Maironio gatve eikite tiesiai. Pirmame posūkyje sukite į kairę ir eikite Bernardinų gatve iki šviesoforo. Perėję gatvę, atsidursite Katedros aikštėje. Čia, tarp Arkikatedros ir varpinės ieškokite plytelės, kurią puošia spalvotomis raidėmis parašytas žodis „stebuklas“. Jei norite, kad įvyktų stebuklas, atsistokite ant plytelės, sugalvokite norą ir apsisukite 360 laipsnių kampu tris kartus bei pažiūrėkite į kryžių, kurį laiko vidurinioji skulptūra ant Arkikatedros stogo. Jūsų noras būtinai išsipildys!
9. Pareikite gatvę ties šviesoforu ir eikite Gedimino prospektu tiesiai kairiąja puse, kol prieisite Lietuvos nacionalinio dramos teatro įėjimą saugančių „Trijų mūzų“ skulptūras. Dramos (Kaliopė), komedijos (Talija) ir tragedijos (Malpomenė) mūzos globoja ne tik teatro gerbėjus, bet ir romantiškojo Vilniaus ieškotojus.
10. Eikite tiesiai prospektu. Perėję pėsčiųjų perėją, pakelkite akis aukštyn – kairėje prospekto pusėje pastebėsite šv. Jurgio skulptūrą. Pasaulio blogį nugalintis šv. Jurgis miestelėnams įkvėpia vilties.

Artistic and romantic Vilnius

In the streets, yards, cozy squares and plazas of Vilnius live its exclusive spirit. For ones it unfolds wistfully romantic, for others – pert, snappy or bohemian side. Vilnius is open to all moods. Those that are looking for ‘different’ city will find it in choosing the path of artistic Vilnius.


1. The first step into the creatively distracted and beloved by painters city – from the ‘Apple’ paving tile in S. Moniuškos Square. It symbolizes the place of meeting and dates. In here you can swear everlasting love to your favoured or for Vilnius city.
2. Go through Klaipėdos Street, at the first turning turn to the right (Pylimo Street) and in the second turning turn to the left (Kalinausko Street). You have just came to unique monument in all world, dedicated to Frank Zappa – father of modern music.



3. Go Kalinausko Street up, turn to the small street of Teatro on the left. After crossing Street of Basanavičiaus you will come to Monument to XX century French writer Romain Gary. The small statue stems from autobiographic story of the writer book ‘Promise of Dawn’ (La promesse de l’aube), in which tells of his childhood in Vilnius and his admiration for a girl named Valentina. Struggling to win her attention the writer would cut and eat a gumshoe.



4. Go Basanavičiaus Street down, turn to the small street of Vingrių on the right. Cross the street and carry on going down Vingrių Street. Go strightly down Pylimo Street till come to huge gypsum 300 kg ‚Easter Egg‘, which is erected on the granite column. This painted monument is bringing a touch of spring to the capital and signifies the restauration and revival of this part of the Old Town.
5. Cross the street beside the traffic-light and go straight the Rūdninkų Street. After reaching the square, on its left side you will see a monument dedicated to Doctor Tsemakh Shabad who once lived in Vilnius and was called Doctor Aiskauda (Dr. Doolittle). The doctor paid special attention to children’s health problems; therefore the sculpture portrays an image of him talking to a child. The monument is bringing a feeling of comfort and kindness.
6. Continue the trip along the Rūdninkų Street. After crossing Vokiečių Street go straight the Didžioji Street. At the spot where Didžioji Street switches to Pilies Street look for Išganytojo Street on the right. Go straight till River Vilnia. While crossing the bridge the Mermaid, also called as Maiden of Užupis, will smile to you modestly from the niche of embankment of Vilnia. Welcome to Užupis, peculiar echo of Paris Monmartre. It is the most bohemian, romantic and mystical area of Vilnius which has its own president, anthem, guardian – the bronze Užupis Angel – and constitution that you can read at the beginning of Paupio Street.

7. Keep left and go straight Malūnų Street until you come to other bridge. The guardrails of the bridge of Bernardinų have locks hanging on them, symbolizing the fidelity of two lovers.
8. After crossing the bridge turn to the right and go straight along the street of Maironio. At the first turning turn to the left and go along Bernardinų Street till the traffic-light. After crossing the street you will approach the Cathedral Square. Here, between the Cathedral and the belfry, look for one particular pavement tile decorated with a word ‘stebuklas’ (‘miracle’) in coloured letters. Should you want miracle to happen you must stand on the tile, make your wish and turn three times round 360 degrees and look at the cross that is held by middle statue on a roof of Cathedral. Your wish will definitely come true!
9. Cross the street beside the traffic-light and go straight the Gedimino Avenue. Keep left till you come to entrance of Lithuanian national drama theatre that is crown by sculpture of ‘Three Muses’. The muses of Drama (Calliope), comedy (Thalia) and tragedy (Melphomene) patronize not only the lovers of theatre but also the seekers of romantic Vilnius.
10. Go along the avenue. After crossing the passage rise your eyes up and on the left side you will see the sculpture of St. Jorge. The winner against world’s badness St. Jorge is inspiring the hope for the citizens.





Vilnius artística e romântica

Viva o espírito exclusivo dos jardins e praças confortáveis de Vilnius. Para alguns, a cidade desdobra um lado melancolicamente romântico, para outros, um lado atrevido, mordaz ou boémio. Vilnius está aberta a todos os humores. Os que buscam uma cidade 'diferente' vão descobri-la no caminho da Vilnius artística.

1. O primeiro passo na cidade criativamente distraída e amada por pintores - a "Maçã" de mosaico na Praça de Moniuškos. Este lugar é símbolo de encontro e namoro. Aqui você pode jurar amor perpétuo ao seu favorito/a ou à cidade de Vilnius.
2. Passe pela Rua de Klaipėdos, na primeira rua corte à direita (Rua de Pylimo) e na segunda vire à esquerda (Rua de Kalinausko). Terá diante de si um monumento sem igual em todo o mundo, dedicado a Frank Zappa - pai da música moderna.
3. Siga a Rua de Kalinausko acima, vire na pequena rua do Teatro à esquerda. Depois de cruzar a Rua de Basanavičiaus verá o Monumento do século XX ao escritor francês Romain Gary. A estátua pequena originária da história autobiográfica do livro do mesmo escritor, 'Promessa ao Amanhecer' (La promesse de l'aube) no qual conta a sua infância em Vilnius e a admiração por uma menina chamada Valentina. Lutando para ganhar a atenção dela, o escritor viria a cortar e comer uma galocha.
4. Vá pela Rua de Basanavičiaus abaixo, vire na pequena rua de Vingrių à direita. Atravesse a rua e siga a Rua de Vingrių . Vá em frente na Rua de Pylimo até encontrar um "Ovo de Páscoa" em pedra de gesso de 300 Kg, numa coluna de granito. Este monumento pintado traz um toque de Primavera à capital e simboliza a restauração e revivificação desta parte da Cidade Velha.
5. Atravesse a rua ao lado do semáforo e vá em frente na Rua de Rūdninkų. Depois de alcançar a praça, no seu lado esquerdo, verá um monumento dedicado ao médico Tsemakh Shabad, que uma vez viveu em Vilnius e foi chamado Doutor Aiskauda (Dr. Doolittle). Este prestou atenção especial aos problemas de saúde das crianças; assim, a escultura retrata-o falando com uma criança. O monumento traz um sentimento de conforto e bondade.
6. Siga a viagem pela Rua do Rūdninkų. Depois de atravessar a Rua de Vokiečių. vá a Rua de Didžioji directamente. No lugar onde a Rua de Didžioji cruza a Rua de Pilies, à direita, procure a Rua de Išganytojo. Vá diretamente até ao Rio Vilnia. Ao cruzar a ponte, a Sereia, também chamada Moça de Užupis, sorrir-lhe-á modestamente do nicho do dique do Vilnia. Bem-vindo a Užupis, eco peculiar de Monmartre de Paris. É a área mais boémia, romântica e mística de Vilnius que tem o seu próprio presidente, hino, guardião - o anjo de bronze Užupis. - e constituição que pode ler no começo da Rua de Paupio.
7. Mantenha-se à esquerda e và pela Rua de Malūnų, directamente até à outra ponte. As grades da ponte de Bernardinų têm aluquetes penduradas, simbolizando a fidelidade de dois amantes.
8. Depois de cruzar a ponte, vire à direita e vá diretamente pela Rua de Maironio. Na primeira rua corte à esquerda e vá pela Rua de Bernardinų até o semáforo. Depois de atravessar a rua, aproximar-se-á da Praça da Catedral. Aqui, entre a Catedral e o campanário, procure uma pedra de calçada decorada com a palavra 'stebuklas' ('milagre') em letras coloridas. Para que o milagre aconteça, coloque-se em cima da pedra, peça o seu desejo, gire três vezes 360 graus e olhe para a cruz que é segura por estátua central num telhado da Catedral. O seu desejo definitivamente se tornará realidade!



9. Atravesse a rua ao lado do semáforo e vá em frente pela Avenida de Gedimino. Mantenha-se à esquerda até encontrar o teatro de drama nacional lituano que é coroado por uma escultura de Três Musas. As musas do Drama (Calliope), comédia (Thalia) e tragédia (Melphomene) não só patrocinam os amantes de teatro mas também os que procuram a Vilnius romântica.



10. Vá pela avenida em frente. Depois de atravessar a passadeira, erga os seus olhos, e à esquerda verá a escultura de S. Jorge. O vencedor contra a maldade do mundo inspira esperança nos cidadãos.
